Privacy Policy – AssistMe

1. Information We Collect

When you use AssistMe, we collect information you provide directly:

Account information: email address and password when you register.
Content you create: text you submit for analysis (reflections, journal entries), feedback, and follow-up notes.
Usage data: app interactions, feature usage patterns, and device information to improve our services.
Payment data: purchase transactions are processed by Apple (via In-App Purchase). We do not store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used to:

Provide AI-powered analysis and pattern recognition.
Generate personalized insights from your reflections.
Process credit purchases and manage your account.
Improve our AI models and app experience.
Send important service notifications.

3. AI Processing

Your reflections are processed by large language models (LLMs) to generate analysis, insights, and patterns. This processing happens on secure cloud servers. We do not use your personal content to train AI models shared with other users.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase with encryption at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard security practices including row-level security policies to ensure you can only access your own data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

AI providers: your reflection text is sent to LLM providers for analysis (processed but not stored by them for training).
Infrastructure providers: hosting, database, and authentication services.
Legal requirements: if required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access all data we hold about you.
Delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app settings.
Export your data upon request.
Withdraw consent for data processing.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

AssistMe is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
